How to Find Us

Connemara artists are a friendly lot. If I am sitting in the sun I will be happy to chat; if I am painting I am happy for you to watch me. You can find me at:

Caher Cottage, Cashleen, Renvyle, Co Galway.

In the summer when I am living in Connemara I do not mind visitors to my studio. You must take your chance as I do go off, both for beaches and shopping and also for painting. If I am home you will be welcome. My home includes the works to which I feel most attached and so sometimes have higher prices. Also included is anything unsold from the previous year which will be slightly cheaper than it was in the galleries. I keep a half price sale box of older work.

We are on the Renvyle peninsula which is findable north of Clifden. Turn left at Letterfrack and follow the road over the bridge at Davros and on to the peninsula. When you come to the cross-roads at the village of Tully Cross, bear left and continue to the village of Tully. It is tiny, just the one street. Drive through Tully and keep going for another 2 miles along the coast until you find the ruins of Renvyle Castle. Turn hard left before the track that leads on to the Castle Guest House. Follow the (winding) road up a steep hill ignoring side turnings until you get to a “T” junction at Cashleen. Turn Left and Caher Cottage is the first on the right side of the road. The is a “Paintings” sign outside the house. We will be pleased to see you.

If I am not there she may well be willing to show you my work. (Look at hers, too.) Her name is Emmelina Wallace. She lives quite nearby at : Katies Place, Tully More, Renvyle, Co Galway.

Where I live in Renvyle is very special and well worth a visit. Although I am biased, I think it is simply the most beautiful, unspoilt part of Ireland, a well kept secret. It has perfect beaches, fascinating coves, mountains that are high, trackless, and very inviting, lakes full of fish, quiet lanes, excellent restaurants and pubs with live traditional music, fantastic coastal walking, horses galore, sailing, scuba diving, surfing, and a wide selection of places where the history and archaeology call to be explored. The offshore islands are all very different and well worth exploring too. So you could combine visiting me with a day out or much longer in this area. If you cannot find me at home, try the local shop who can direct you to my daughter’s house.
